Menu

Canapes 

Dragon balls – Spicy scotch eggs supplied by Orchard Pigs Bakery, Wrexham served with a selection of sauces and ketchup’s.

Tractor Wheel Pork Pies – Hand shaped traditional pork pies supplied by Orchard Pigs Bakery, Wrexham served with a selection of local chutney’s and wholegrain mustard.

Our Famous Mash Pie – Homemade cheese, onion and mash pie served with a selections of sauces and ketchups.

Mains

Bangers and Mash  – Traditional sausages from Edwards of Conwy served in a rich onion gravy topped with crispy shallots and accompanied with buttery cracked black pepper mash.  (Vegetarian and gluten free versions available.)

Fodder Beef – Slow cooked Welsh beef brisket served on a soft bap or brioche bun with oak smoked onions, homemade red cabbage coleslaw and a fresh green salad.

Fodder Lamb – Slow cooked Welsh lamb shoulder served on a soft bap or brioche bun with fresh and zingy mint sauce, homemade red cabbage coleslaw and a fresh green salad.

Fodder Pork  – Free range pulled pork cooked in our secret recipe BBQ sauce served on a soft bap or brioche bun with sticky onions and homemade red cabbage coleslaw and a fresh green salad.

Fodder Dogs – Traditional sausages sourced locally served in a soft bap with sticky onion relish, mustard mayo and oak smoked onions.

Chilli and Nacho’s – Homemade oak smoked Welsh beef chilli served with nachos, topped with salsa, homegrown chives, sour cream and mature Cheddar cheese. Rice or jacket potatoes available on request. (Vegetarian and gluten free version available).

Traditional Welsh Cawl  – Slow cooked Welsh lamb cawl served with a crusty roll and a chunk of Caerphilly cheese.

‘Beef and Beer’ Stew – Welsh beef cooked with local ale and seasonal roof vegetables. Served with crusty bread and our slow cooked red cabbage.

Fodder Hog Roast – Rare breed Welsh pork served with a floury bap, homemade chunky coleslaw, handpicked wild garlic stuffing and a cider sauce.

Fodder Mushroom – Field mushrooms stuffed with Feta cheese, tomatoes, sweet peppers, fresh herbs and smoked onions.

Wild Garlic Pesto Pasta – Penne pasta served with seasonal wild garlic pesto supplied by The Bridge Lodge, Wrexham served with Parmesan shavings. (Available February to May)

 

For Pudding

Fodder Scones  – Mum’s famous scones served with whipped double cream, thick strawberry jam and fresh strawberries.

Sticky Toffee Pudding – homemade rich toffee and date pudding served with warm treacle toffee sauce.

Brioche and Chocolate Butter Pudding – baked layers of brioche and dark chocolate with a crunchy demerara topping served with fresh cream.

Toffee Apple Crumble – home grown apples flavoured with cinnamon and muscovado sugar and topped off with Welsh butter crumble topping.

Fodder Berry Mess – fresh seasonal berries, berry coulis, welsh double cream and crispy meringue pieces.

Fodder Pancakes – Crepe style pancakes served with a selection of super tasty toppings. Lemon and sugar, chocolate orange, salted caramel and chocolate deluxe.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options of the above are available – just ask.  

At Fodder in the Field we don’t use plastic – all of our cutlery is wooden and our plates and cups are fully biodegradable.
